Attaining "the calm" we need, is wanting to.
Attaining the calm...
You'd think it'd be easy, but it's not.
Easily attainable, yes.
Easily implemented, no.
Oftentimes, we don't recognize our own traits and habits that lead us down a repetitive road of weariness and unfulfilling results.
People of all kinds want more calm in their life.
I find many who do...don't change their schedules, habits, relationships, and intentionality.
It leaves them wanting...
You cannot attain growth, wisdom, character, and be a refreshed soul if you don't create space or cultivate good decisions that allow "that calm" in your life.
Sometimes, people don't realize they subconsciously choose the chaos. They mistake calm for laziness. People inwardly confuse peace with boredom.
They trade wisdom for impatient impulses.
We are all so different.
We are all so similar.
How can you make different choices to attain the calm in your life?
How can you cultivate peace?
What is God speaking to your heart and soul?
Attaining “the calm” we need, is wanting to.
So, take time to sit, and raise a mug with me, *cheers*
"There is strength through the trials and beauty in the waiting."
Oftentimes, it’s easy to just see the challenges and how big they are. It’s harder to intentionally garner the strength we can attain from journeying through those difficult times.
We can also get so caught up in “pressing through” that we don’t retain or develop habits to slow down, pause, and drink in the beauty outside of our situation. We fail to do this even when the situation or hard season is no longer there.
I realized I had to be intentional with my schedule…by creating space rather than filling every single space. It wasn’t being less diligent, it was investing in quality of character and appreciation of life.
Let’s garner that strength and also take the time to drink in the beauty. Create space.
Even coffee beans need REST!
Depending on the type of coffee,
resting can take anywhere from 2 to 14 days.
After being roasted, this resting process
is what allows their flavors to open up!
When their flavors open up,
it brings more clarity to your coffee drink.
Likewise, so are we and our character!
If we take the moment to rest after life’s “roasting process” the flavor of our character and personality open up and give much more clarity to who we are,
how we live, and what we can offer the world.
Forests are rugged and calm at the same time. Life is rugged and sometimes I must create “calm” amongst the chaos. Tree lines instead of skyscrapers…It’s breaking away from the world’s “busy”, looking to the horizon, feeling the breeze, hearing God’s voice, and feeling the Holy Spirit resonate in my heart the love He has for His people, the powerful freedom He brings, and the path He’s set before me to walk.
Step away from the chaos…
Turn your ear from society…
Listen to Him in the stillness.

Oftentimes, I have to remind myself to just break away from the worries of today, the frustrations of the past, and the cares of tomorrow. Just breathe. REST. Recouping and regathering is never a weakness; it’s nurturing to the soul and healing for the mind. Then, I turn my thoughts and actions toward God and exalt Him - who He is, what He’s done, and all He’s going to do. Worshipping Him ultimately fills me again as He breathes life back into me…allowing me to truly breathe. We don’t always see it - but the heavens are praising and prayerfully warring in this with us together. You are not alone. There is power when we exalt God together in the midst of everything else.
Release what is hounding you and

All too often we are rating our mark in life on a scale of success.
A dream isn’t a dream attained unless we reach a comparable level of purpose…a lie that society and social media perpetuate.
Truth? You are truly valuable as YOU, and you have impact existing day-to-day as the unique child of God that you are in this very moment and very season!
You ARE the Dream.
Being bold isn’t easy.
Being bold can be all kinds of actions on a wide scale.
It can look like inviting the loner to a gathering.
It can look like standing up for the awkward person who somehow made the center topic of discussion in a gossip group.
It can look like saying the unpopular truth on social media with grace and class.
It can look like walking alongside the newly single mom during her unknown season of desperation.
It can look like showing up and being your genuine self in the midst of a facade of elitist mentality.
It can look like a lot of things, but Brewed GRIT encourages you to Be Bold like a strong cup of coffee!!
B R A V E R Y
Brewed GRIT is passionate about empowering people to...
...stand strong even if it means standing alone.

Be Bold. Be Genuine. Be Brave.
